To give you the most accurate quote, please include the information below in your expanded-metal inquiry or order. The clearer you are about what you need, the quantity, and other key parameters, the better we can respond. Write your request in an email and send it to one of our sales representatives. The following information must be included in your request.
- Article number — if known.
- Desired mesh size — LWM × SWM (c/c = center-to-center).
- Desired strand width — should not exceed the material thickness for square meshes or where the material will be precision-bent. Large strand width causes a venetian-blind effect.
- Desired material thickness — original raw-material thickness before expanding.
- Quantity — in pcs or m² per delivery, plus any annual volume for recurring orders.
- Dimensions (width) — width along LWM for all line items, with desired tolerance.
- Dimensions (length) — length along SWM for all line items, with desired tolerance.
- Carrier and delivery terms — preferred carrier with your account number, and requested terms (our default is FCA).
Other parameters that may be important for an accurate quote
- Flattened / plan-rolled (knuckles pressed down for a smooth surface)
- Extra requirements for stress-relief / flatness
- Desired weight per m² or per piece
- Desired open area (%)
- Desired profile height (overall/“build” height)
- Closed meshes along edges, if required (often means wider size tolerances)
- Visual/appearance requirements for later critical exposure
- Intended application (our experience helps you choose the optimal product)
- Surface treatment (include any corrosion-protection requirements)
- Requested delivery time / lead time
