We keep our most common expanded-metal items in stock—in several patterns and materials—for fast delivery. If you’re not in a hurry, we can manufacture what you need, tailored to your requirements.
Information that must be included in your order or quote request
- Article number — if known.
- Desired mesh size: LWM × SWM (c/c = centre-to-centre).
- Desired strand width — should not significantly exceed the material thickness for square meshes or where the material will later be precision-bent. A large strand width creates a venetian-blind effect.
- Desired material thickness — the original thickness of the raw material before expanding.
- Quantity — in pcs or m² per delivery, and any annual volume for recurring deliveries.
- Dimensions (width) — width along LWM for all line items, incl. desired tolerance.
- Dimensions (length) — length along SWM for all line items, incl. desired tolerance.
- Carrier & terms — preferred carrier with your customer account number, and desired delivery terms (our default is FCA).
Other parameters that are important for an accurate quote
- Flattened / plan-rolled (knuckles pressed down to achieve a smooth surface)
- Additional requirements for stress-relief / flatness
- Desired weight per m² or per piece
- Desired open area (%)
- Desired profile height (overall thickness / strand height)
- Closed meshes along edges, if required (often implies wider dimensional tolerances for the sheet size)
- Visual/appearance requirements for later appearance-critical exposure
- Intended application (our experience can help you choose the optimal product)
- Surface treatment (please include any corrosion-protection requirements)
- Requested delivery time / lead time
